Hunting is very much a part or rural life in all parts of the world. Presented here in this gallery are a selection of images from the grouse moors of north east Scotland and deer stalking in the west of Scotland.

Established in 2003, the Cairngorm National Park is situated in north east Scotland and covers an area of 4,528 square kilometres.

The beautiful, tranquil and isolated Glen Strathfarrar is in the Highlands of Scotland north of the Great Glen. Loch Monar, which was dammed in the 1950s' as part of the Affric-Beauly power scheme is situated at the head (western end) of the glen. I was lucky enough to live and work on Pait Estate on the far western shore of Loch Monar for a number seasons and, presented here in this gallery are a selection of images from that time.

The Lonach Highlanders and Pipe Band come from Strathdon in Aberdeenshire.
Presented in this gallery are images of the Lonach & Wallace Highlanders on their march in August 2015 to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the construction by John Forbes of Inverernan, the Poldhullie Bridge that spans the River Don.
The following month in September they made the gruelling march over the moors to Braemar to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Braemar Gathering.
